This week we're featuring Madi Murata, a senior from California!
This is the final installment of this year's Meet the EB Series, a bi-weekly blog where we introduce you to the amazing students of the Inaugural Engagement Board.
Name: Madi Murata
School: West High School (Torrance, CA)
Words to live by: “Be somebody who makes everybody feel like a somebody” -Brad Montague
My Perfect Saturday: Sleep in, have brunch with family, spend time with friends in the afternoon, and stay up late for a family game night with my parents and three younger brothers.
How You GetLiving: I am super active at school. I'm the captain of the dance team, president of our SADD chapter, and secretary of clubs in student council. I’m so blessed to be part of so many amazing programs at school that allow me to serve my school and my community.
Why TextLess Live More: There have been so many stories recently with people driving while texting because everyone does it. Which means it’s “cool” right? I want the new “cool” to be safe driving for everyone. I know people at my school think that just because they are at a stoplight or stop sign it means that it is perfectly okay to check your phone since the vehicle isn’t in motion. However, this is equally as dangerous as checking your phone while the vehicle is in motion.
